Micropigmentation/Permanent Make up Training Curriculum
During your training with LivAva Training you will learn the following  to NVQ Level 4 standard. This in-depth course will cover the application  and principles of semi-permanent make-up, permanent make-up,  micropigmentation using digital and rotary machines.
The aims of this course are to:
 
Develop excellent communication skills required for Permanent Make-Up
Develop a high level of skills and technique.
   
The course will include the following activities and areas of study:

Research and investigate theory by anatomy and physiology to a  very high standard, producing reports and assignment work to include;  skin structure - epidermis, dermis and all appendages.

Research and investigate the structure of the eye.
Research skin disorders and diseases.
Sterilisation, sanitation and personal protective equipment.
Contamination, the dangers of using used needles, sharps disposal and waste.
Understand your responsibility under the Electricity at Work Act.
Show a high level of understanding of the different types of Permanent Make-Up products available.

Be able to evaluate the students' own professional practices for  application and corrective work using investigation and critical  evaluation.
Write conclusions on the progress and direction of their own work.
Show a high level of understanding into record cards and the Data Protection Act.
Study of Hygienic and Unhygienic working practices.
COSHH in relation to Permanent Make-Up.
Salon/Legal requirements to ensure safe and hygienic working methods. Safety requirements.
All techniques used in practical work of Permanent Make-Up.
Skin Testing techniques.
Sharp and Blunt Testing.
Dealing with clients who have unrealistic expectations.
Awareness of relevant Codes of Practice/Ethics in Safe Working Practices.

Giving advice and guidance as to how to achieve and maintain the desired effect.
Factors which may affect treatment or require GP referral.
Correct positioning of the client in a comfortable and safe working position with adequate levels of heat, light, etc.
What is erythema.
Ranges of colours available.
Uses and effects of Corrective Permanent Make-Up, for example,  cleft lip, camouflaging scars and the effects of defining, lengthen,  enhance and minimise.

Correct procedures for removal of pigmentation.
Aftercare, products and further treatments.
Choosing colours/colour theory.
Taking Photographs and the importance of this practice.
Blood borne pathogens.
Insurance and Laws.

Topical Anaesthetics.
Needle choice.
Basic Marketing/Advertising.
Legal Requirements.
Bones of the skull/face.
Hair growth cycle.

All important hands-on practical, training on live models.
